Eric Verdaasdonk

“What do you really need to live?”, is one of his most profound rhetorical questions. While travelling Eric lives off the sales of his photographs. The beauty of this, is that photos of Amsterdam are being sold in Buenos Aires. The Argentine photos are for sale on the streets of Thailand and a beautiful image of Berlin hangs in the streets of Israel. There is a connection between different cultures, equated by the lens of the camera, for everyone to be seen. Many of the images that you see in this book are about the street, the people who live in it and who together, form a culture. Eric knows like no other that wherever you are on earth, humanity is always the norm. These photos take you to your brothers and sisters anywhere in the world. It is so nice to see that everyone is equal and that Eric has the courage to present this by standing in between the lines and telling the real story.
